Those are the only two projects I brought along to Wisconsin and I've not had a lot of time to work on them.

Since we've been on vacation, a lot has happened.

We flew from San Francisco to Chicago on Tuesday, landing after 10pm, then getting our rental car, and heading to Husband's cousin's place. We spent Wednesday in Chicago with Husband's cousin and her son, who is just 5 months younger than Little Man. So, they're in the same grade, and like several of the same things, which made our day a lot easier.

The flight was brutal. Well, it would have been fine if Stormageddon could have streamed YouTube videos properly but that just wasn't to be. We listened to that boy have an epic 2.5 hour tantrum. Yeah, 2.5 hours. He fell asleep the last 20 minutes, during landing. ::sigh::

We went to see the cousin's mom & older brother before heading to Superdawg,  Buckingham Fountain, and Shedd Aquarium on Wednesday.

Stormageddon found a Leonardo mask and didn't want to take it off.

These two boys.....OMG, these two...thick as thieves!

Superdawg is home to the Chicago Dog, as in the official hot dog for which Chicago is known.

I won't lie.....it was a little chilly in Chicago with the rain and wind right by Lake Michigan. But, we had fun at the Fountain.

On Thursday, we went to the Kalahari indoor water park in Wisconsin Dells, just for the day. We met my father-in-law there and had tons of fun. Currently, those photos are on an SD card in my wallet and I need to take care of that.

I will show you this photo though:

My bestie has a basementkitty. This isn't that kitty. This kitty that Stormageddon has a hold of was named Tower. Tower was a foster kitty my bestie has had for the last couple of weeks. Mama kitty was feral and took awhile to catch, along with Tower's siblings. A friend of ours from high school runs an animal rescue and they were brought in. Stormageddon was absolutely in love with baby Tower, and Tower was an extremely tolerant kitty, considering he was feral. He didn't lash out except when Stormageddon picked him up by his tail. He didn't like that much. But, sadly, Tower went to his forever home this week.

Thursday night, my bestie, Husband, and I went to play Bingo at the VFW.

I won at Bingo!........along with like 10 other people. So, I got a whole $3.50 (damn Loch Ness Monster tryin'a steal my three fiddy!).

Friday, we made a quick stop to my great-uncle & great-aunt's house before going to the New Glarus Brewery

We did a tasting, which, for me, translated to three tasters of either the Belgian Red or the Raspberry Tart (I can't remember which for sure but I feel like it was the Belgian). We got to keep the glasses, which was also lovely.

After our trip to the Brewery, we went to Potbelly's for lunch. We don't have any nearby so it's one of those "must stop" places when we come home. Potbelly's is located in one of the malls in Madison so we also stopped at a shop to pick up some new Wisconsin/Badger shirts and the boys had some time in the play area.

Friday night, Friday the 13th...my bestie and I went to see a movie for cheap: Nightmare on Elm Street. The original version. On a big screen....and we got to drink before and during the movie :)

Both our drinks were named after superheroes. Her's was a Spider-Man one and mine was Star-Lord Lemonade. YUM. And I remembered why I love the 80s while watching that movie.

On Saturday, Husband's cousin (a different one on the other side of the family) got married in an outdoor wedding......in the rain. ::sigh:: But, we didn't stay very long. Husband had a slip on Friday night on some wet steps and screwed up his back. It was pretty bad....like he borrowed a walker from his dad for the wedding. It was okay though, as Stormageddon wasn't exactly cooperative at the wedding.

On Sunday, we spent some time with friends and we also stopped in to see my brother and sister-in-law and my niece. My brother hasn't seen Little Man since he was a year and a half (the day before we moved to California) and my sister-in-law hadn't seen him at all, and of course neither had seen Stormageddon and I hadn't seen my niece. So, we spent maybe an hour there and Stormageddon went after two of their kittys. He managed to catch both of them at different times and did bring out one by the tail. ::sigh::

So, that is my little brother and my niece, known here as my Devil Niece (her initials are TAZ, as in Tasmanian Devil).....and that little hat on her head is the baby Pussy Hat that I knit back in May. The Devil doesn't like to keep hats on her head but this one she kept on for a good long while (like 45 minutes and she was still wearing it when we left). She kept rubbing the fabric by her ear so I think she liked it. My sister-in-law is also a knitter so she was impressed with this as well.

And last night, I had a HUGE margarita for dinner. Well, that and some enchiladas at the local Mexican place. Love my Mexican :)

I hope you had a lovely weekend and a good start to your week :) I might be back on time next week. Maybe. We'll see how things go. I know I have a Stash Enhancement post coming on Saturday so maybe.....
