WIP Wednesday :)

Usually, I write posts in advance (a day or two) but I dropped the ball on WIP Wednesday because, honestly, it hasn't occurred to me that it is, in fact, Wednesday. My days have been completely thrown off this week and I have no idea why. The holiday isn't until tomorrow but yesterday, I kept thinking it was Sunday, today I've been thinking it's Saturday, and on Monday I thought it was Friday

::sigh::

No wonder I haven't been able to get my posts done correctly.

Anyway....it's Wednesday and I have some WIP love to show for the day.

This is the first of my Zombie ViXen Fingerless Mitts. I'm actually a bit further than this (like another pattern repeat)...but it still looks pretty similar. I'm using Canon Hand Dyes' Charles Self-Striping Sock in Christmas Zombie. I thought it was fitting. I had originally intended this yarn to be for socks but then I remembered this pattern in my Year of Projects list and the colorway.......it was kind of a given that this yarn wanted to grow up to be these fingerless mitts.

I've also got some other projects going but I haven't bothered to photograph them.

Also, because I'm going to link with Ginny today (see the end of the post), I've been reading through an advance copy of a book. Right now, I only have it electronically but it's called Follow The Yarn by Reba Linker. I'll be doing a proper book review on December 5th so I cannot tell you much about it right now (you can check out her website for more information and for the rest of the blog tour)...but you can wander back then and read all about it.

That's about all I have for you today. I'm linking up with both Tami and Ginny today :)

  2. Very zombie, Christmas vibe. I like how those look like spots of blood.
